Meet Pastor Jonathan — A Voice for Justice, Growth, and Real Community
I am Rev. Dr. Jonathan Nantais, Senior Pastor at First Christian Church of Houston — but don’t let the title fool you. I am not about tradition for tradition’s sake. With a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate from Ecumenical Theological Seminary (plus a certificate in Race, Racism, and Diversity), I bring both depth and edge to everything I do.
My passion? Building something real — communities that actually care, churches that actually serve, and faith that actually means something in the world today.
Ordained with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in both Canada and the U.S., I am all about inclusion, justice, and spiritual growth that meets people where they are — no pressure, no judgment. I often say, “You may not belong to this church, but this church belongs to you.”
Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or just looking for a place that gets it — I strive to be the kind of leader who listens, shows up, and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo.

Rev. Managerrie Winston serves as the Director of Family Ministries and Connections at First Christian Church of Houston. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity while enrolled in seminary. Rev. Managerrie is commissioned with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in both Canada and the USA and is joyfully journeying toward ordination. At First Christian Church, she leads youth programming, nurtures family connections, and coordinates weekly Chapel services for the preschool. Deeply rooted in community care, she has also led nonprofit initiatives supporting marginalized youth in Houston through her own business. Her work reflects a passionate commitment to inclusive faith, collective healing, and transformative spiritual growth.
